Speed Golf is a form of golf in which players finish the course as fast as possible. The current scoring format was devised by John Bell in San Diego in the late 80's. Rob Hogan as well as being a renowned golf coach was the dominant player of the USA era of Speed Golf and competitive Speed Golf in Europe can be traced to his forays in the USA. Hogan won the Speed Golf World Championships in 2013 (Oregon) and 2015 (Chicago). Arno Lindsberger of Austria was the other European player to travel to the states albeit in a different generation of the sport in the 90's.
